Stephanie Wade is joining the Good Morning Indiana team from Toledo, Ohio. She reported in her hometown at WNWO for the 5pm, 6pm and 11pm weekday news.
She’s adjusting from being a night owl – to now, an early morning riser. Where’s the coffee?
Growing up only three hours away and being a midwest girl at heart, she’s always had her eyes on Indianapolis as somewhere she’d love to live and work.
She enjoys telling stories that focus on social justice, diversity and highlighting individuals and organizations doing good work in the community.
Covering the 2016 presidential election from a major swing state was exhilarating, with several campaign stops by now-President Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Joe Biden, and having interviewed Eric Trump. But Stephanie says reporting stories about people within the community, who hold no political rank, is more fulfilling in her book.
When Stephanie isn’t working, she loves being outdoors. She’s especially excited to live near the canal! (If you have any other recommendations where to walk or run, please let her know!)
Stephanie is also a big “foodie.” Going to school in Chicago, Illinois at DePaul University, she got to experience some of the best food in the country. She plans on exploring the food scene more here in Indy, as well. (Again, feel free to send suggestions)
Stephanie is excited to bring you important news before starting your day and hopes you’ll join us on Good Morning Indiana.
