NCAA Game Summary - Alcorn State Vs. Detroit

Albany, NY -- (Sports Network) - Center Eli Holman posted 16 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks to power the Detroit Titans to a 79-59 victory over the Alcorn State Braves as part of the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Xavier Keeling managed a team-high 17 points for Detroit (4-1), which has won four straight since losing the season opener. The Titans also got 15 points from Chase Simon. Shaunvanta Ingram and Keith Searcy both scored 13 points in the loss for Alcorn State (0-6). Detroit jumped out to an early 22-9 lead and owned a 42-25 advantage by intermission. The Titans, who posted their first win of 20 points or more since 2005, were never in jeopardy of losing the advantage in the second half. Detroit earned a commanding 46-28 rebounding advantage in the clash and limited Alcorn State to 38.6 percent field goal efficiency.
