Daytona Beach, FL -- (Sports Network) - A.J. Tyler netted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, as the UCF Knights topped the Auburn Tigers, 84-74, in the second round of the Glenn Wilkes Classic at the Ocean Center.

Dave Diakite registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards for UCF (3-0), and Taylor Young also had 12 points, to go with five assists. A.J. Rompza put forth 11 points and five helpers, while Keith Clanton posted 10 points and five boards in the triumph.

Frankie Sullivan led the Tigers (1-2) and all scorers with 22 points and six boards. DeWayne Reed mixed in 15 points and five assists, and Lucas Hargrove finished with 12 points and three steals in the setback.

The Knights jumped out to a 13-0 lead and then used a late 15-3 run to take a 41-24 lead into the locker room.

UCF put the game away from the foul line in the second half, going 20-of-24 on its way to the 10-point victory.

The Knights, who were previously 0-27 against SEC members, shot 52.1 percent from the field and converted 31-of-34 free-throw attempts for the game.
