GAME NOTES: Creighton will attempt to make it two wins in a row this afternoon when the Bluejays host the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at the Qwest Center Omaha.

After opening the season with back-to-back losses to Ole Miss (92-64) and Tulsa (59-45), the Trojans finally found the win column in their latest matchup. However, the win did not come against top talent, as UALR defeated St. Gregory's 100-56. Next up for the Trojans will be a road matchup with Louisiana Tech, followed by four consecutive home games.

Creighton's year began with a tough, 90-80 setback to Dayton, which was ranked 21st in the nation at the time. However, the Bluejays were able to rebound with a convincing victory over Florida A&M (78-53). After this contest the Bluejays will head to Orlando to take part in the Old Spice Classic.

The Bluejays own a small 2-1 edge over UALR in the all-time series. However, the lone win for the Trojans came in the most recent matchup between the two schools, as UALR defeated Creighton, 71-69.

After scoring just 109 combined points in their first two games, the Trojans exploded in their last matchup, scoring 100 points against St. Gregory's. Arkansas-Little Rock shot a solid 51.4 percent from the field in the contest, and also won the battle on the glass, 50-36. Solomon Bozeman was one of five players to finish in double-figures, as the guard scored 16 points, to go along with five assists. Kelson Stewart added 15 points for UALR, while Derrick Bails tallied 12 points and eight boards off the bench. Nikola Cicic and Alex Garcia-Mendoza both chipped in with 10 points apiece as well. After three games however, Bozeman has been the only consistent player for the Trojans, netting 15.0 ppg.

Despite committing 20 turnovers and netting just 11-of-31 attempts from long range, the Bluejays were able to grab their first victory on the year, defeating Florida A&M by a 25-point margin. Darryl Ashford, who scored 13 points against Dayton in the team's first matchup, led the way with 17 points in the win, while Ethan Wragge tallied 16 points in just 20 minutes of work off the bench. Kenny Lawson Jr added 11 points, while Cavel Witter chipped in 10 points. P'Allen Stinnett, who scored 18 points in the opener, finished with just seven points against Florida A&M, and also committed four turnovers. Although it was a rough outing for Stinnett, look for the guard to rebound this afternoon against the Trojans.

The Trojans did score 100 points in their last contest, but the quality of opponent definitely comes into question. Expect the Bluejays to bring UALR back down to earth, as Creighton should have no trouble winning at home.
