The Flames shot an awful 28.0 percent from the floor in the first half, allowing CSU to grab a 29-27 edge heading into the locker room.

Now trailing 59-50 with five minutes left, the Vikings used a 13-3 spurt to regain control and they would survive several game-tying three-point attempts by UIC in the final moments of the win.

Both teams were effective at the foul line, as the Flames went 28-of-33 and the Vikings 22-of-27.
