Daytona Beach, FL -- (Sports Network) - Alex Young scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the IUPUI Jaguars to a thrilling 67-56 overtime victory over the Georgia State Panthers in the final round of the Glenn Wilkes Classic. John Ashworth tallied 14 points in the triumph for IUPUI (4-1), which got 12 points from Robert Glenn. Joe Dukes scored 14 points for Georgia State (2-3), while teammate Ousman Krubally finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds. IUPUI was fortunate to find itself locked in a 26-26 tie at intermission, as the team shot a mere 32.1 percent from the floor in the first half. In the second half, Georgia State tied the score at 50-50 with 1:32 remaining, and neither team was able to score again, making an overtime period necessary to determine the outcome. In the extra session, IUPUI hit all three of its shots from the floor and 10- of-11 free throws to claim victory. The Jaguars played tremendous defense in the contest, forcing 22 turnovers and limiting Georgia State to 39.6 percent shooting from the floor.
