Notre Dame F Harangody To Enter NBA Draft

South Bend, IN -- (Sports Network) - Notre Dame junior forward Luke Harangody announced Thursday his intentions to declare for the NBA draft.Harangody does not plan to hire an agent, leaving open the possibility of returning for his senior season. The Big East Player of the Year in 2008, Harangody averaged 23.3 points and 11.8 rebounds last season for the Fighting Irish and became the first player in Big East history to lead the conference in scoring and rebounding in consecutive seasons. He was the only player nationally to rank among the top 10 in both scoring (eighth) and rebounding (sixth). Notre Dame went on to lose to Penn State in the semifinals of the NIT tourney. The 6-foot-8, 255-pound Harangody ranks eighth all-time in Notre Dame history with 1,823 points and fifth with 949 rebounds.
