Columbia, SC -- (Sports Network) - Dominique Archie scored 18 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to pace the South Carolina Gamecocks in a 90-66 rout of the Georgia Southern Eagles in a non-conference tilt at Colonial Life Arena.

Devan Downey added 14 points while Brandis Raley-Ross scored 13 points in the win for South Carolina (2-0). Mike Holmes chipped in 12 points for the Gamecocks, and Ramon Galloway got into the mix as well, tallying 10 points off the bench.

Ben Drayton scored 15 points to go with seven rebounds to pace the Eagles (1-1) in the losing effort. Willie Powers finished with 14 points and Antonio Hanson notched 12 points.

The Eagles were held to just 37.5 percent shooting from the floor during the opening frame, as the Gamecocks took a 43-36 lead into the locker room.

The Gamecocks opened the second half with a 16-0 run and pulled away for the 24-point win.

The Gamecocks shot at a 51.9 percent clip from the field in the victory, helping the squad overcome 24 turnovers.
