NCAA Game Summary - Wisconsin-Milwaukee Vs. Wright State

(Sports Network) - Cory Cooperwood scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, as the fourth-seeded Wright State Raiders knocked off the fifth-seeded Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers, 80-70, in second-round action of the Horizon League Tournament at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Reserves Cooper Land and Scott Grote scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Wright State (20-12). N'Gai Evans finished with 12 points in the win.

Avery Smith and Deonte Roberts scored 15 points apiece to pace Milwaukee (17-14), while Ricky Franklin and Jason Averkamp each scored 10.

Wright State jumped out to a 14-point lead at the 4:04 mark of the first half, but Milwaukee put together a huge rally to end the half tied, 39-39.

The Raiders were simply too much in the second stanza, shooting 52.6 percent from the floor and adding another 17 points from the foul line to stay alive in the conference tourney.

Wright State was locked in from beyond the arc, hitting 12-of-18 three- pointers for the game.
