Oxford, MS -- (Sports Network) - Jevan Snead totaled five touchdowns as he led the Ole Miss Rebels to a convincing, 59-0 victory over the UL-Monroe Warhawks in a non-conference tilt at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Snead threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns for Ole Miss (6-4), while also scoring twice on the ground. Cordera Eason led the ground game with 106 yards and also scored touchdown, while Dexter McCluster rumbled for 78 yards and one TD. Kinsmon Lancaster threw for just 30 yards for ULM (3-8), while Trey Levell threw for only 29 yards and also tossed two interceptions. The first quarter was not filled with much action, as the only touchdown was a 17-run by Eason that gave Ole Miss a 7-0 edge early in the frame. However, the Rebels exploded in the second stanza, scoring 31 straight points, beginning with a 22-yard touchdown pass from Snead to Gerald Harris. Ole Miss pushed its lead to 28-0 midway through the quarter when Snead hit Mike Wallace with a 23-yard scoring strike, which was followed minutes later by a 25-yard touchdown scamper by McCluster. The Rebels added a one-yard TD plunge by Snead, and a 39-yard field goal by Joshua Shene to push their lead to 38-0 at the break. Snead continued to dominate the Warhawks in the second half, as the quarterback hit Derrick Davis with a three-yard scoring strike, and then rumbled into the end zone on a nine-yard run. Seconds into the final frame the Rebels relentless offense put ULM down by a 59-0 margin when Enrique Davis scored on a one yard plunge. It was the largest margin of victory for Ole Miss since defeating Southern Mississippi, 69-7 back in 1969.
