Maine: Cash For Appliances Rebate Program

Eligible Appliances, Brand And Model Numbers, Recycling And Rebate Information In Maine

Maine's Cash For Appliances program is now in effect and will run until funds are depleted.

Maine received $1.2 million of the nearly $300 million available nationwide from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Eligible appliances in Maine include:

  • Refrigerators (over 7.5 cu. ft.) and freezers -- $75 rebate
  • Refrigerators (under 7.5 cu. ft.) -- $25 rebate
  • Clothes Washers -- $50 rebate
  • Air conditioners/dehumidifiers -- $25 rebate

Residents are encouraged to recycle their old appliances on their own. Maine residents are urged obtain a mail-in rebate form from the retailer at purchase time to submit with a copy of the receipt.
