Typos aren't so bad when they're in a text or an email, but a misspelled crossing sign outside a New York City school has taken more than a year and a few ironic chuckles to correct. The "SHCOOL X-NG" sign that was painted on the street outside of Marta Valle High School on the Lower East Side of Manhattan was replaced Tuesday after utility contractors left the sign as is in July 2010, the New York Post reported.According to the publication, a member of the Parent-Teacher Association at the school said they weren't surprised the sign has gone unnoticed or corrected for so long.
There's no word on whether or not the contractors are alumni of the school.
