Police: Illicit Images Found On Man's School Computer

DANVILLE, Ind. -- A former Avon schoolteacher caught with child pornography on his school computer was sentenced to 18 months in prison Wednesday.

Scott Swiontek, 43, who was a third-grade teacher at Hickory Elementary School in Avon, had pleaded guilty to charges of possessing child pornography, RTV6 reported.

Police arrested Swiontek in January after an outside consulting firm hired by the school district discovered pornographic images on his computer, RTV6 reported.

Swiontek quit his job after the arrest, RTV6 reported.
