An '80s rocker from Indiana pleaded guilty Monday to driving while intoxicated in connection with a September 2006 incident.

Henry Lee Swartz, 55, better known by the stage name Henry Lee Summer, reached a plea deal with prosecutors that resulted in the dismissal of two additional charges against him.

Summer had been charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement and leaving the scene of an accident.

As part of the plea deal, Summer will be on probation for a year. His license was suspended for 180 days and he will pay $950 to two victims of property damage.

Police said Summer was apprehended in the Country Woods Estates, where residents said they saw him crash into four parked cars before going to the back of the mobile home park.

Witnesses said Summer appeared calm as he stood outside of a trailer after the incident until deputies arrived. Witnesses told 6News that he then tried to take off. A Taser gun was used to subdue Summer during the incident, police said.

Summer, a native of Brazil, Ind., scored a pair of Top 20 hits on the pop charts in the late '80s with "I Wish I Had A Girl" and "Hey Baby." He has toured as a musician since the early '80s.
