OPRAH and ABC are teaming up with RTV6 for OPRAH’S BIG GIVE INDIANA!

Do you know of a local charity that could use a financial boost? Is there a program in your neighborhood in need of funding? Are you passionate about a cause that needs money and exposure? Is so, we want to hear from you.

RTV6 is looking for Hoosiers who want to give back to their communities and we have $10,000 to help get them started. Here is how it works!

Come up with an idea to help a local charity, organization or program.

Select a team of people (no more than five) to help implement your idea.

Fill out the OPRAH’S BIG GIVE INDIANA application below and share your unique plan including details on the intended recipient, fundraising and the final presentation.

RTV6 will accept applications through Monday, March 10, 2008. After reviewing all the entries, RTV6 will choose two (2) teams to receive seed money to help make their BIG GIVE dreams come true. The winners will be announced on 6News on the week of March 17, 2008.

Each winning team will be given three (3) weeks to implement their ideas, which will be recorded and featured on 6News. Final presentations must take place by April 12, 2008.

When selecting an intended recipient for your BIG GIVE keep in mind any organization chosen must be a registered 501c (3) charity and individuals must not have been convicted of a felony or be currently charged with any crime. You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of Indiana and agree to contest rules to enter.
