Sting Risks Belt In 4-Way Dance

Listen up!Class is in session. It's finally time to see if Sting is a true bad guy or just a sheep if wolf's clothing. In Sunday's "Against All Odds" PPV, he's put his TNA belt on the line in a match against Team 3-D and fellow Main Event Mafia member Kurt Angle. Who won? The answe in a bit, but first -- the rest of the card!
TNA Women's Championship: Awesome Kong (c) vs. ODB
What Should Happen: In this contest, you can't complain about an excess of cheesecake. Instead, it's a pair of husky lady grapplers doing their best to hurt each other. Babyface ODB is about as funny as a box of rocks, so I don't really want her to win. That's why she probably will.
What Will Happen: I'm picking the rather crude and rude ODB to win this.
What Did Happen: Kong prevailed, here -- keeping her title.
Challenge Match: Booker T vs. Shane Sewell
What Should Happen: On top of the world one day, fighting referees in TNA pay-per-views the next. That's the Booker T story in a nutshell, and I'm hoping he'll win here. But the lure of a ref winning a PPV match might be too much for TNA to resist.
What Will Happen: Common sense says Booker T grudgingly agreed to this sad match only on the condition that he would win. I'm taking T.
What Did Happen: Booker won easily.
Challenge Match: Abyss vs. Matt Morgan
What Should Happen: I could care less about either of these guys. Abyss should ditch the mask and repackage himself a bit. Morgan is just so-so, but he's the star TNA is trying to build -- so it only makes sense that he wins.
What Will Happen: Morgan gets the win.
What Did Happen: Abyss pinned Morgan.
Challenge Match: Scott Steiner vs. Petey Williams
What Should Happen: Big Poppa Pump was training Petey to be his "Mini-Me" last year, but Steiner turned heel to join the MEM – leaving Williams in a lurch. After healing from an injury, this is Petey's first PPV back. I think he should tear the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to shreds.
What Will Happen: What the heck. You only live once: I'm picking Petey to get the pin.
What Did Happen: Not to be. Steiner pinned his former pal.
TNA Tag Team Championship Match: Robert Roode and James Storm (c) vs. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed
What Should Happen: Lethal and Creed are smaller and more athletic than Beer Money, Inc., which is why I'd like to see them lose. Watching high-flying babyfaces chase the hulking heels is pure wrestling enjoyment, and I hope TNA milks this one for a few months.
What Will Happen: I'm putting all of my milk money on Beer Money.
What Did Happen: Beer Money got the job done, with some help from their valet, Miss Jackie.
TNA Heavyweight Championship Match: Sting (c) vs. Kurt Angle vs. Brother Devon vs. Brother Ray
What Should Happen: The most improbable thing to happen would be for Devon to win. That would be totally unexpected and somewhat cool. Team 3D has plenty of tag titles to their credit, but not a major singles strap. For Devon or Ray to pull it off might make for some fun TV, but you know it would never last long. In this match, we might see Sting reveal his true colors. Is he an evil lout or the hero he's played for so many years? If I were writing things, I wouldn't play that card right now. But I also wouldn't let Angle win. Sting as an enigmatic champion is the best TNA storyline going right now.
What Will Happen: Sting will figure out a way to win this match.
What Did Happen: Sting pinned Ray to get the victory, keeping the gold.
That's it. The numbers don't lie. As usual, I nailed the main event matches, including the four-way to close out the show. Need to know who will win the big one? Drop me a line. Now scram, because this class is … dismissed! (Professor Wrestling is a masked employee of Internet Broadcasting, hailing from Parts Unknown. Got a question, comment, complaint?
