Historic Indianapolis Venue Goes Old National
Murat Centre Changes Names

INDIANAPOLIS -- An historic Indianapolis venue that has been in existence for many decades now sports a new name.The Murat Centre is now known as Old National Centre. Concert promoter Live Nation and officials from Evansville-based Old National Bank made the announcement late Tuesday morning.The 2,500-seat Murat has been a popular venue for Broadway musicals and big-name concerts for decades.
The building, which was constructed about 100 years ago, was renovated in the 1990s, but much of the original structure remains.Old National has been increasing its presence in central Indiana in recent years.
