INDIANAPOLIS -- About 25,000 people are exepcted to attend the nation's largest gaming trade show this weekend in Indianapolis.
Gen Con -- short for "Geneva Convention," which is a nod to the convention's former location of Lake Geneva, Wis. -- features marathon sessions of fantasy games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Magic.
The event began Thursday and will run through Sunday at the Indiana Convention Center. The event goes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all four days, but a 24-hour-per-day gaming area has been established.
A weekend pass is $60, and one-day admission is $23. Kids under 8 get in free with a paying adult.
This is the first year the festival has been held outside of
Wisconsin. The event had outgrown convention centers in Milwaukee.
The event has a contract with the Indiana Convention Center through 2005.
