Emmy Stars Auctioning Clothes For Charity

'Clothes Off Our Back' Campaign Started Last Year

Actress Jane Kaczmarek will gladly give you the clothes off her back she'll be wearing Emmy night -- for a price.

Jane Kaczmarek, Bradley WhitfordFor the second year running, the 'Malcolm in the Middle' nominee and her husband, "The West Wing" nominee Bradley Whitford, are leading the charge for the "Clothes Off Our Back" charity auction. The eBay auction will give fans an opportunity to bid on clothes various stars wear during the Emmy ceremony Sunday night.

"We are asking all Emmy nominees and television actors to join us when we donate our award show formal wear following the telecast on Sept. 21," Kaczmarek said on the event's Web site. "The event was such a great success last year that we wanted to make it an Emmy tradition."

Among the stars auctioning off their Emmy tuxedos, gowns and other items from the event are Jennifer Aniston, Sean Hayes, Dule Hill , Ellen DeGeneres, Bernie Mac, Edie Falco and Jennifer Garner.

The auction will begin Sunday evening and run for 10 days.

Winning bidders of the items will get the piece of clothing, a picture of the celebrity wearing it on the red carpet, and a note from Kaczmarek and Whitford.

According to the Web site, the proceeds will go to benefit Cure Autism Now, the largest private funding source of autism research; and the Union of Concerned Scientists, a nonprofit partnership of scientists and citizens united to achieve practical environmental solutions.

Last year's event raised $87,000, which benefited, Cure Autism Now, Heifer International, UNICEF and the Union Of Concerned Scientists.
