Thousands of fans gathered together for a car rally in Santa Clarita, California last week (ends06Dec13) to pay their respects to the late PAUL WALKER.
The Fast & Furious star died in a car crash on 30 November (13), and nearly one week after his death, Walker's fans came together to mourn him at the site of the tragedy.
The unofficial event was organized via social media, and while it was scheduled to start at noon, mourners began arriving as early as six in the morning to pay their respects.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, an estimated 5,000 fans took part in the event, and more than 1,000 cars drove past the site of the crash. Many were high-performance vehicles, a nod to the actor's blockbuster racing franchise.
Walker died alongside friend Roger Rodas during an event for his charity Reach Out Worldwide, after the Porsche Carrera GT Rodas was driving slammed in a light pole and a tree before bursting into flames. An autopsy confirmed Walker died from his injuries.
