Charlie Sheen granted visitation rights in custody battle

CHARLIE SHEEN has been granted visitation rights with his twin sons Bob and Max as his custody battle with ex-wife BROOKE MUELLER continues.

The actor was furious when the boys were placed under the temporary guardianship of Mueller's brother Scott in November (13), and has publicly slammed his ex-wife, the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) and the judge handling the case despite a gag order that meant he could be held in contempt of court.

During a hearing in California on Tuesday (17Dec13), Mueller said she had no interest in pursuing the charge against the Anger Management actor and a judge granted Sheen two 120-minute monitored visits a week, according to TMZ.com.

Providing he receives good reviews from the Los Angeles DCFS, the actor's time with the boys will be gradually increased until the parents are sharing custody of the children equally.

The twins were placed in the custody of another of Sheen's ex-wives, Denise Richards, following a drugs raid on Mueller's house in May (13), but in November (13), Richards claimed she could no longer manager the boys' increasingly bad behavior.

Mueller's brother was then given temporary guardianship.
