The long-awaited VERONICA MARS movie has wrapped and is currently screening for select fans before a release date is set early next year (14).
Rob Thomas, the creator of the TV series, broke Kickstarter.com records earlier this year (13) when he called on fans of the show to donate funds to help him make a movie version, easily reaching his target in just days.
Many of the original castmates returned for the film, and actress Kristen Bell revived her Mars character just nine weeks after becoming a first-time mom in March (13).
She now tells WENN, "It's totally done. We are screening it right now to make nuance changes to the plot or tiny little shavings here and there. It will come out in early February."
And she had so much fun with Thomas and her former co-stars, she's hoping the film is a success and it becomes a franchise: "I would do a sequel if it were like Star Trek and we did one a year for the next dozen years."
