One of ABC's hottest shows returns to the air Wednesday night with a Hoosier connection."Wife Swap" features Angie Boss (pictured), a New Palestine woman, who is a Quaker preacher. She trades places with a millionaire mom whose daughter is making a career on the beauty pageant circuit.Boss and her husband, Duwain, are raising their three daughters to be strong and self-sufficient so they don't have to depend on a man or anyone else for anything. The Boss' experience on the show wasn't like anything they had expected. Angie switched places with Karen Guastaferro, of Buffalo, N.Y.Karen's daughter, Alicia, is 15 and has been taking part in beauty pageants since she was 11 months old."I do feel sorry for people that are not gorgeous people," Alicia said on the show.Angie said Alicia doesn't do anything for herself, not even homework.Angie said she did the show because she felt she had something positive to share with another family and that she believes her time with Alicia helped the teen realize she can do things for herself. The Indiana woman said that Alicia liked her but that her parents didn't -- something she is OK with."I love our life and I love our family and the way we raise our girls to be strong and independent and capable," Boss said. "I wouldn't trade this family for that one for anything."Duwain said the experience was interesting, but not something he would want to do again."I wouldn't do it again because of the girls," Duwain said. "Having young children go through that intensive process -- it's too hard on them.""Wife Swap" airs at 8 p.m. Wednesday on ABC and RTV6.
