Justin Bieber charged with dangerous driving

JUSTIN BIEBER has been charged with dangerous driving and assault following an altercation in his native Ontario, Canada on Friday (29Aug14).

Reports suggest the pop star was riding an all-terrain vehicle when it was involved in a collision with a minivan and that led to a fight.

A spokesperson for Ontario Provincial Police tells the Associated Press Bieber was released on a promise to appear in court on 29 September (14).

Bieber's latest legal woe could land him back behind bars - Los Angeles County Probation Department officials have since launched an investigation into the weekend arrest to determine if it violates his probation from his misdemeanor vandalism case, relating to an egging attack on a California neighbor's home in January (14). That case was settled in July (14), when he was sentenced to five days of community service, 12 weeks of anger management counseling, and two years of probation.

Probation bosses have 30 days to lodge any alleged violation in court, reports TMZ.com.

The singer also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of careless driving and resisting arrest last month (Aug14), seven months after he was booked in Miami Beach, Florida.

He is also facing legal action after allegedly assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, Canada in December (13).
