Not many people would be brave enough to take the stage in front of thousands of people unless they're a famous broadcaster who happens to be a fan of Jimmy Buffett.
Katie Couric appeared fearless in front of hundreds of Parrotheads when she made a guest appearance as a backup singer during his concert at the Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville last month.
More About "Katie"
The former "Today Show" host and groundbreaking network news anchor said performing on stage with Buffett was one of the items on her you only live once list.
"I thought this would just be a fun, very visual, kind of fling for me and it happened to be in Indianapolis so here I am, Couric said. I'm going to officially take him off my YOLO list."
Her new talk show could include a segment on middle-aged dating and making a difference in the lives of others.
If I have an opportunity to do something to actually save lives, well bring it, I'm in, Couric said.
More of Courics performance can be seen on her new talk show, Katie, which will air Sept. 10 on RTV6.
