ONE DIRECTION star LIAM PAYNE has assured fans he has no plans to leave the boyband amid rumors he is planning to quit.

Fans of the hit pop group were thrown into turmoil over the weekend (02-03Mar13) after editors of a British tabloid published a story suggesting Payne had grown tired of fame and had decided to step out of the spotlight to spend more time with his family and his girlfriend, Danielle Peazer.

However, Payne has now reached out to his supporters and assured them the claims are not true.

In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "Thought I'd let you know this latest story is bulls**t I love you guys so much I love this band they're my best mates I ain't goin (sic) now werrr (nowhere)."
