TAKEN 2 has claimed the top spot at the box office for a second weekend (12-14Oct12) in a row, pulling in $22.5 million in ticket sales.
Liam Neeson's second outing as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills has proved a huge hit with audiences, and adds the latest haul to the $50 million it made in its first weekend.
Ben Affleck's critically-acclaimed Argo is at number two after grossing $20.1 million, and Ethan Hawke's creepy horror Sinister comes in third with takings of $18.3 million.
Spooky animated hit Hotel Transylvania ($17.3 million) and comedy Here Comes The Boom ($12 million) round out the top five.
