A representative for OPRAH WINFREY's cable network has dismissed reports suggesting LINDSAY LOHAN's reality TV show has been canceled, insisting the deal was for just one season of the program.
The Mean Girls star has been giving fans an insight into her life in Lindsay, which has been documenting her struggles as she settles in her native New York following a court-ordered rehab stay in California last summer (13).
Rumors recently surfaced suggesting Winfrey was not interested in renewing the show for a second season due to low ratings after less than 700,000 viewings tuned in for its premiere in March (14).
However, a spokesperson for OWN has now cleared up the claims, telling Eonline.com, "Rumors that it is being canceled are untrue."
A source adds: "The intention was always to do eight episodes. The show is not being canceled."
The news comes after Lohan confessed to breaking her sobriety pact by drinking wine during a recent episode of Lindsay. The show has also featured the actress arguing with her estranged father, Michael, and she was also chastised by Winfrey in one episode after continually delaying production on the docu-series.
