The organization offers a quick and easy way for people to load up old electronics and cardboard and drop them off, where they will be stripped of recyclable items and toxic material will be disposed of properly."We all have accumulated in our garage or our basement those old TVs, VCRs, all kinds of electronics," said Renee Sweazy, of Green Piece Indy. "We just encourage people to load them up before they head to work in the morning, stop by and we'll unload them for them."Five more events are planned through Nov. 12, with the next one on Oct. 13 in the Hawthorne Plaza parking lot at 62nd Street and Binford Boulevard. On Oct. 21, commuters on the south side can drop off items at The Strange Brew, at 4800 W. Smith Valley Rd.Both events run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.Workforce Inc. employs ex-offenders to do the recycling."It's a great social cause, in addition to the environmental cause," Sweany said.More Info: Green Piece Indy
