Woman On Horse Struck By Car; Driver Flees

A woman riding a horse was struck in a hit-and-run crash, deputies told WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The woman was struck by a car on Orange Boulevard at about 7 p.m. Sunday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The woman was taken to Palms West Hospital. Her condition was not immediately known. The horse's condition was also unknown.

Although it was dark at the time of the hit-and-run, there are horse-crossing signs on the roadway.

Deputies were searching for the driver.
