Study: Fiber Doesn't Reduce Colon Cancer Risk

POSTED: 7:10 pm EST December 9, 2005

Fiber has been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Doctors say that to reduce the risk of colon cancer, people should limit their consumption of red meat and alcohol. People also should get regular exercise and not smoke, doctors say.
