Should action be taken against the students involved in a reported porn shoot in an IU dorm?

The film "Campus Invasion" was made at various locations on campus earlier this month by adult filmmakers from Shane's World, a Web site based in Van Nuys, Calif., RTV6's Kristi Tedesco reported.

The porn actors said they were attracted to IU because it was recently named the nation's No. 1 party school by the Princeton Review.

According to students Tedesco spoke with, there was one male actor, at least two female actors and person dressed in a bear costume who was the production company's mascot.

"I know that the girls were doing, like, lesbian activities between each other," student Aamir Bharmal said. "The guy and the girl did something in one of the kid's rooms. The students were all just watching."

The shoot reportedly happened in a freshman dorm, Teter Quad, Tedesco reported.

Several students said the porn crew was in the residence hall for around 30 minutes before the residence hall manager kicked them out. Students reported seeing sexual activity in at least one private room and the public shower area.

  SURVEY
Officials with an adult Web site said they were lured to IU to shoot a pornographic film because of the school's No. 1 party school ranking. Do you think that ranking is having a detrimental effect on the school's image?

"The actresses were doing stuff in the showers and I think they got some of the guys (from the floor) involved," student Sarah Kirk said.

IU officials are investigating to see if any laws were broken. Officials said they will enforce the student code of conduct.

"There are individuals and organizations out there who will exploit students, and young people -- take advantage of them," IU Chancellor Sharon Stephens Brehm said. "Students need to be aware of that."

Brehm wouldn't talk about possible punishments or legal action because she said officials want to get all the facts first, Tedesco reported.

Some of the students Tedesco spoke with off camera said there was oral sex in the dorm that day, but no intercourse.

Shane Enterprises officials could not be reached for comment, but according to published reports, the film is expected to be released in November.
