Why do program listings in TV Guide and the local papers sometimes differ from what airs?
Some of the services that create programming guides must go to press three to four weeks in advance to get them into viewers homes in time. ABC and WRTV make every effort to keep these listings correct. However, breaking news, weather, and network changes which are beyond our control, sometimes happen after these deadlines. For the latest program information, you can check our WRTV program listings here on TheIndyChannel.com.
What is the difference between WRTV and ABC?
WRTV, which is owned by McGraw-Hill, is a local station which serves all of central Indiana. As a local station, WRTV produces local programs and specials.
ABC is the network which serves the nation through its relationship with the stations it owns and the many affiliates that broadcast ABC programming. ABC produces Good Morning America, the soap operas, primetime shows, 20/20, Nightline, Politically Incorrect, etc. WRTV does not have influence over the production of these programs. If you have comments or questions about network programming, contact ABC or send an e-mail to abccomments@theindychannel.com.
Syndicated programs are produced by other companies which partner with stations in as many markets as possible to air the program.
How do I order a tape or transcript of a news story?
Unfortunately, WRTV does not make copies of tapes or transcripts for viewers. You can call Media Pulse at 317-925-NEWS for information on getting a tape of a past show.
