Thousands Enjoy 500 Festival Parade
Floats, Celebs, Bands Highlight Annual Event

INDIANAPOLIS -- Thousands of people took in the annual 500 Festival Parade under sunny skies and in very warm conditions Saturday afternoon.The 33 drivers in the 93rd Indianapolis 500 were among parade royalty.College basketball analyst Dick Vitale was the grand marshal this year. His high-energy style seemed to be a big hit with spectators.A bevy of other celebrities joined a long line of parade participants, including several bands, beauty queens and gorgeous floats.The annual parade whets the appetite for those eager to get the race under way on Sunday afternoon.
