INDIANAPOLIS – Feb. 14, a day some spend months preparing for, while others dread to hear the name is no other than Valentine’s Day.

Whether you and your partner are looking to head out on the town to your favorite restaurant, or if this is your very first date, Indy has plenty of dinner options to help skip the awkward phase and get right to the core – good conversation and carefully designed dishes.

If you’re stumped when it comes to deciding on a restaurant, hopefully we can make that choice a little easier.

Here are 12 traditional and non-traditional places offering Valentine’s Day specials:

Chef JJ’s: If your special someone loves to grill, take them down to Chef JJ’s Feb. 10 for six wines paired with six courses.

LouVino: You’ll be spoiled during LouVino’s four-course dinner highlighting the restaurant’s southern charm. Premium wine pairings with each course are also available.

Morton’s The Steakhouse: Setting the scene for an unforgettable date night, couples can enjoy Morton’s steak and cold water lobster tail for just $56.

Seasons 52: This four-course dinner includes signature flatbreads, and special entrees Feb. 12 and 13. Guests can upgrade their experience with a variety of wines.

Skyline Club: Invite your special someone to get a breathtaking view of downtown Indy while your night of romance offers a four-course meal, live music, a champagne toast and a rose for the ladies.

Table by Market District: Order chef-inspired Valentine’s Day plates or partake in the prix fixe menu for two priced at $70.

The Indianapolis Propylaeum: This candlelight dinner for two includes starter salads, two entrees, glasses of champagne, dessert and other beverages.

Three Carrots: Dig into a vegan three-course meal, which will include wine pairings and a special secret course.

Tilly’s Tea Room: Instead of a five-course dinner, how about a five-course wine tasting experience? Try your favorites while enjoying small plates at Tilly’s.

The Ville: This Noblesville restaurant’s dinner will include items like surf and turf, oysters, crab cakes, and chicken piccata all over music played by a harpist.

Upland Brewery Carmel: At this Valentine’s Day beer dinner you’ll get a five-course meal carefully paired with Upland brew.

Weber Grill: Get your fork into cedar planked salmon, surf and turf or a New York strip at Weber Grill. To make the night extra special, you can also throw in a bouquet of roses.

If you’re not looking to sit down for a formal dinner, here are other Valentine’s Day events to enjoy with your sweetheart on Feb. 14:

·Renew your wedding vows (for free) at the Indianapolis City Market. Following the 11 a.m. ceremony couples can enjoy cake, punch and create lasting memories at the picture station.

·Sip on newly crafted cocktails at Nicky Blaine’s. Featured creations like “the Check'er Out,” “Tears on My Pillow” and the “Moody Gypsy” are meant to help the romance last throughout the month of February.

·Get a taste of sweet chocolate at Garfield Park Conservatory. Try several chocolate varieties over a cup of coffee in a candlelit atmosphere.

·Ready to tie the knot? Like right now? Same Day Weddings can make your dreams come true this Valentine’s Day.

· Grab a free Qdoba entrée by planting a kiss on a friend or significant other (even on their hand) at the register.
