PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Celebrity Chef Michael Symon, of Food Network's Iron Chef and ABC's The Chew, was in Plainfield Friday to open the latest GetGo Cafe and Market.

Symon's mission behind GetGo Cafe is to offer fresh, healthy foods to people on the go. Four of the new convenience stores are opening across central Indiana, adjacent to gas station fill-ups.

"I love the whole premise of GetGo, everyone is in a rush these days, we have a million things to do, and (people say) 'alright, I want to get something on the run, something that I can trust,'" Symon said.

The cafe offers fresh sandwiches and other healthy food in a convenience store concept.

"And you get to do it while you get your gas and the whole thing," Symon said.

"To be able to (get healthy food) quick and affordable, that's a great thing," Symon said.

Symon also recently opened a B-Spot Restaurant at Keystone and 86th Street. B-Spot serves burgers, beer, brat wurst, bourbon and bologna, in a casual environment, but the food is sourced properly with no GMOs and baked-fresh daily buns.

We caught up with Symon on Facebook Live while he was in town and he answered some of your cooking questions, as well as a few things about Indy.

Symon's go-to restaurant in Indy (besides B Spot): Milktooth

"I love, love, love Milktooth," Symon said. "It's an incredibly special restaurant... you guys are lucky to have it."
