INDIANAPOLIS - State health officials have released new guidelines for school immunizations.

Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, students must have two doses of the varicella vaccine or a documented history of having chicken pox.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade must have their history of chicken pox documented by a health care provider.

State health officials also recommend kindergarten students receive two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine and that 11th and 12th graders get the booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine.
