HPV vaccine not being recommended strongly

INDIANAPOLIS -- The HPV vaccine could help young teens avoid cancer, but some doctors aren't pushing it and parents aren't asking for it.

A new study, published in the journal, "Pediatrics," shows doctors aren't strongly recommending the HPV vaccine to young girls and young boys because they believe the teens aren't sexually active.

However, reports show about one-third of all young people have had sex by the age of 16.
