A female pitbull had a close call at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Tuesday.
According to a post on the Speedway Animal Rescue Facebook page, the dog wandered into the track, while cars were going around the track.
"Thank goodness for the race track's ground crew and our street department guys for pulling her out from the fence and off the track quick enough," the post said.
If no owner is found, the post said she will need an IMS race name and a foster home.
