INDIANAPOLIS -- In celebration of National Pet Week, the social networking site Nextdoor has released a list of the most popular pet names in America.
Bella reigns supreme as the most popular name in the country followed closely by Lucy and Max.
If you break it down by pet type, Bella still wins for dogs and cats, but the results start to differ after that. For birds, Kiwi makes the top of the list and Thumper wins for rabbits. For hamsters, Oreo seems to be the favorite and Nemo is the top name for pet fish.
When it comes to pet names, Indianapolis doesn’t sway too far from the national list with Bella, Lucy and Max making the top three of the list. But there are a couple surprises in there - check out the top ten favorite pet names in Indianapolis below.
