Minneapolis, MN -- (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins activated infielder Alexi Casilla from the 15-day disabled list after Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

Casilla has been sidelined since July 29 with a torn ligament in his right thumb. The second baseman hit .313 with 15 doubles and 39 RBI before suffering the injury, and was 4-for-7 with two walks and an RBI in a pair of rehab games with Single-A Beloit.

In a corresponding move, the Twins outrighted pitcher Brian Bass to Triple-A Rochester. The rookie reliever went 3-4 with a 4.87 earned-run average in 44 appearances this season.
