D'Rays Pitching Coach Suspended

New York, NY -- (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitching coach Mike Butcher was suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions and comments during the first inning of his team's September 25 game against the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.Butcher was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Alfonso Marquez. After being tossed, Butcher raced on the field and made physical contact with third base umpire Larry Young. Young was attempting to get between Butcher and Marquez. Butcher's suspension will begin during the Devil Rays' game in Boston at Fenway Park on Wednesday.
