Boston Red Sox (72-53) At Baltimore Orioles (60-64), 7:05 P.m.

(Sports Network) - Daisuke Matsuzaka tries to remain unbeaten on the road this season when the Boston Red Sox play the middle test of their three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

Matsuzaka is a perfect 6-0 in his nine starts away from home this season, while pitching to a 2.04 earned run average. Actually, it hasn't mattered where the Japanese right-hander has pitched lately, as he is 3-0 over his last three starts overall, allowing just three runs in 21 innings of those outings.

He was brilliant against Texas on Thursday, scattering six hits over seven scoreless innings to improve to 14-2, while lowering his ERA to 2.74.

Matsuzaka defeated the O's the last time he faced them, tossing six scoreless innings. He is 1-1 lifetime against them with a 5.17 ERA in three starts.

Boston drew first blood in this series on Monday and snapped a two-game losing streak in the process, as Jason Bay homered twice and drove in four runs, while Jon Lester pitched seven solid innings in the 6-3 win.

Lester (12-4) yielded four hits and one run, striking out five with one walk to record his fifth win in six starts. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 33rd save by working the final 1 1/3 innings.

David Ortiz doubled twice and drove in a run for the Red Sox, who have won eight of their last 11 games on the road.

Aubrey Huff finished 2-for-4 with a homer and knocked in all three runs for the Orioles, who dropped their second game in three tries. Baltimore managed just five hits, one day after pounding out a season-high 22.

Jeremy Guthrie (10-9) was tagged in the loss for five hits and a pair of runs over seven innings.

Baltimore will turn to inconsistent right-hander Daniel Cabrera this evening. Cabrera, who is 8-7 with a 4.78 ERA, did not get a decision on Thursday against Cleveland, as he allowed three runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings of his team's 11-6 win.

Cabrera lost to Dice-K and the Red Sox back on July 13 and is a miserable 2-10 in his career against them with a 6.81 ERA in 15 starts.

Boston, which has won seven of its last 10 at Camden, has won eight of the 13 matchups with the Orioles this season.
