Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Ken Griffey Jr. belted his first home run in a White Sox uniform and Nick Swisher homered for the third consecutive game, as Chicago completed a three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners with a 15-3 rout at U.S. Cellular Field.A.J. Pierzynski and Alexei Ramirez also homered for the White Sox, who clubbed 10 home runs while outscoring the Mariners 33-8 during the series. Chicago scored at least 13 runs for the third time in four games and ran its winning streak to five. The Sox, with their 73rd victory, surpassed their win total from last season when they finished 72-90. They also remained one game ahead of Minnesota in the AL Central, as the Twins beat the Athletics on Wednesday afternoon. Gavin Floyd (13-6) threw six solid innings to earn the win and improve to 3-0 in his last five starts. He yielded three runs on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Seattle starter R.A. Dickey (3-8) was blasted for eight runs in just two innings and fell to 0-2 with a 10.90 earned run average in five outings this month. Ichiro Suzuki was 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in defeat, while Raul Ibanez connected for his 20th homer and drove in all three Seattle runs. The Mariners have lost six straight and finished 1-7 on an eight-game road trip. The White Sox scored six in the first and cruised from there. Orlando Cabrera led off the bottom of the first with a single and raced to third on a double by Pierzynski. A passed ball allowed the first run to score and Carlos Quentin drew a walk before Griffey singled home a run. Paul Konerko singled to load the bases and Swisher grounded out to make it 3-0 before Ramirez connected for his 14th homer of the season to double the advantage. Griffey made it 8-0 in the second with his first homer since joining the White Sox in a deadline trade with Cincinnati. It was his 16th home run of the season and the 609th of his career, tying him with Sammy Sosa for fifth place on the all-time list. "If you play long enough the numbers will happen," said Griffey. "That first one [with a new team] is always tough. Once I got the first one, it took a lot of the pressure off." It was also Griffey's first extra-base hit with the White Sox. He was 10- for-44 with Chicago before the homer. "It's about time," joked Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen about Griffey's first homer with the team. "He's one guy that's going to help this lineup just with his presence." After Ibanez singled home Suzuki in the top of the third for Seattle's first run, Swisher doubled and scored on a base hit by Juan Uribe in the bottom of the inning. Griffey walked in the fourth and later scored on a base hit by Konerko for a 10-1 cushion. Ibanez's two-run homer in the fifth pulled Seattle within seven, but Chicago made it a laugher with four in the bottom of the inning. After the first two batters were retired, Brian Anderson doubled and scored on a two-bagger by Uribe. Cabrera then drew a walk and Pierzynski followed with his 12th home run of the season to make it a 14-3 game. Swisher's 20th homer of the season and the 100th of his career accounted for the final margin in the sixth.
