In the midst of the nation's economic woes, Nestle celebrated the company's move to full production capacity at its Anderson facility Wednesday.

The plant, which makes and distributes Nesquik and Coffee-Mate, has added hundreds of new jobs to a community desperately in need of positive economic news.

Gov. Mitch Daniels and other state officials toured the fully operation facility. The company had originally planned to hire 300 workers but announced it would expand by 880,000 square feet and add 100 more jobs.

"Indiana is proud that a company of worldwide stature and unmatched excellence … selected Indiana and Anderson," Daniels said. "In a worldwide recession, this company is growing ... is succeeding against all those odds."

The company broke ground on the $360 million plant in 2006.
