INDIANAPOLIS - If you're not really into sports but you're looking for a creative outlet to keep your mind and body sharp, dancing or music lessons could be a perfect fit.
No matter your age, instructors say dance lessons are a great way to challenge yourself and to meet new people.
Stefanie Squint teaches at Indy Dance Academy and says most of her students are adults.
"We have a lot of adult students that come in and they are nervous at first because they've never taken a dance class before. They've never stepped inside a dance studio, but it's something they wish they would have done when they were younger. I just always say come in and try it, just one time," Squint said.
Before you get started, do your research to find a dance studio that will fit your budget. If dancing isn't your thing, you may want to try music lessons.
Angie's List Founder Angie Hicks said music is one of her favorite hobbies.
"I recently took up piano lessons. We've had a piano in my house for years and it's been really fun. It's always fun to learn something new," Hicks said.
