INDIANAPOLIS - AGI-Shorewood Group is closing its Indianapolis plant in March, affecting more than 200 workers.
In a letter sent to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on Tuesday, the company said its 620 S. Belmont Ave. facility will close March 31.
The company said it would start letting employees go on March 15.
In all, 203 workers will be affected -- 161 employees who currently work there, and 42 laid off workers who will not be hired back.
The Indianapolis plant opened in 1971.
