More than a month after missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer was last seen, many of the volunteers who helped in the search effort will reunite in Bloomington on Saturday.Laps for Lauren, a searchers reunion, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Woodlawn field and track off Woodlawn Avenue on the IU campus.

The 20-year-old Spierer was last seen in the early morning hours of June 3 at the intersection of 11th Street and College Avenue, headed south on College toward her apartment at Smallwood Plaza.Thousands of volunteers worked alongside professional search teams throughout the month of June, scouring Bloomington and then expanding throughout Monroe County.Police announced late last month that widespread searches would be scaled back, and a search headquarters at McNutt residence hall was closed June 29.Spierer's family urged volunteers to reunite with each other this weekend."We would love to see everyone who is helping us continue our efforts to find our dear sweet Lauren. Hope to see you Saturday," Robert and Charlene Spierer, and Spierer's sister, Rebecca, wrote on the Find Lauren website.Spierer's parents have vowed to stay in Bloomington for as long as it takes to find out what happened to their daughter.Spierer weighs about 90 pounds and is 4 feet 11 inches tall.
