HENDERSON, Ky. -- Police looking for a 10-month-old boy said his noncustodial mother might have been involved in Monday's death of a social worker in western Kentucky before she left with the baby and her boyfriend.An Amber Alert was issued in Indiana and Kentucky for the baby, Saige Terrell. Police said they believed he was with his mother, Renee Terrell, 33, of Henderson, and her boyfriend, Christopher Wayne Luttrell, 23.

Arrest warrants charging Renee Terrell with kidnapping and Luttrell with probation violation have been issued in Kentucky. Renee Terrell has family in the Ft. Wayne and Evansville areas, prompting authorities to issue the Amber Alert in Indiana.Henderson police were called Monday when social worker Boni Frederick, 67, didn't return to work after taking the baby, who was in state custody, for a visit with the mother, Henderson police Sgt. Dwight Duncan said.Police went to Renee Terrell's home and found Frederick's body at about 4:30 p.m. CDT. Frederick worked for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.Henderson Police Chief Ed Brady said Frederick was beaten to death."(Renee Terrell) is definitely a suspect in the homicide," Brady said.Terrell has family in Louisville; Evansville, Ind.; and Fort Wayne, Ind.; and in New York, police said.Police said they believe Renee Terrell, the baby and Luttrell left in Frederick's 2000 white Daewoo Nubira station wagon, which had Kentucky license plate 675-DRV.Renee Terrell is described as having brown hair and brown eyes with glasses. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. Luttrell is described as having blue eyes. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Luttrell also has tattoos on his arms.Saige Terrell has brown eyes, brown hair. He is 27 inches tall and weighs 19 pounds. Police said the boy is developmentally disabled and has a scratch on the right side of his face and a rug burn on the back of his neck.Police asked anyone with information to call 888-58-AMBER.
