INDIANAPOLIS -- A potential new law to control dangerous dogs in Marion County is expected to be voted on Monday night. The dangerous dog ordinance was first introduced to the City-County Council over the summer after a string of vicious dog attacks. The proposed law was amended after some councilors said the language and definitions weren't clear.
The new proposal deems a dangerous dog as on that poses a danger to human life or property, has caused a serious, unprovoked injury to a person, or chased a person or acted menacingly away from its owners.
